We believe that punctuality and good attendance are essential for all pupils, to ensure they can benefit fully from their education to reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
We aim to ensure that all pupils achieve maximum possible attendance and that any barriers to this are identified and acted upon as soon as possible. The school aims at 100% attendance for pupils and promotes good punctuality, as this sets a positive work ethic now, and for the future. Children are rewarded for good attendance in different ways. The class with the best attendance get a visit from the rabbits for a day a week in their class and the class with the best punctuality gets a visit from the guinea pigs! In the Summer term we hold an attendance and punctuality award ceremony where children receive certificates for best attendance, most improved attendance and punctuality.
We believe that every day counts and work alongside families to address issues surrounding attendance. We do not authorise holidays during term time and recommend families seek support if they have issues with getting their children into school on time; for example by running a walking bus.
